Is risk a difficult game to learn?

How does the game Risk Work?
Risk is a strategy board game of diplomacy, conflict and conquest for two to six players. Players may form and dissolve alliances during the course of the game. The goal of the game is to occupy every territory on the board and, in doing so, eliminate the other players.
Is Risk fun with 2 players?
Yes, two player RISK is fun for two RISK enthusiast that just can’t get enough. It’s the head to head competition that makes two player RISK worth playing. If you cannot find a worthy, or completely willing, opponent then two person RISK will not be as fun as RISK with four, five, or six players would be.

Use Secret Mission cards (or create your own) to assign each “player” an objective for winning and play the game!

Is attacking or defending better in risk?
Battles occur in rounds, with an attacking player typically rolling (up to) 3 dice, and a defending player (up to) 2 dice. Generally speaking, whoever rolls more dice does better. When the dice are evenly matched, the defender tends to win out.
Is it better to attack or defend?
If your opponent is attacking then you’ll have to play the role of the defender. The reason it’s better to be the attacker is that defenders get stuck defending and are unable to attack the enemy position until they successfully ward off the current attack. The attacker has the initiative!
